JUNIOR FILMMAKERS INTENSIVE WORKSHOP Winter/Spring 2013!
The Junior Filmmakers Program gives students, ages 10 to 13, fun and engaging opportunities to learn about documentary films and work in teams to make a short documentary. Under the guidance of film professionals, students learn the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking including an approach that emphasizes direct observation and personal experience, working with HD cameras, Final Cut Pro editing software, and an introduction to integrating Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator into their final films. The 10-week program culminates in a public premiere of the students' films at The Maysles Cinema, and a personal meeting with Albert Maysles to discuss their artistic vision and a career in film.
